I grew up near Virginia Beach and was interested in becoming a therapist from a young age as I would go to nursing homes and other volunteering opportunities and listen to people tell their stories. I went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development from Virginia Tech and then earned a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. I am passionate about helping others achieve optimal mental health and thriving in their thought life.

 

My background is in counseling clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns. I also have experience in panic disorders and post traumatic stress disorders. I have worked with individuals of all ages, including children and adolescents. My therapeutic approach is integrative. The modalities I tend to practice from are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person centered therapy and trauma focused CBT.

 

In our sessions, you can expect a judgment-free zone, compassion, respect, and an authentic desire to understand and help.

 

I am a child of God, wife to my wonderful husband of 8 years and a mom to our 3 beautiful children. I love spending time with the Lord through reading His word, reading other books, singing, dancing, spending time with friends, making sourdough bread, and exercising.
